This is Chaol Westfall's story and it takes place during the same time frame as book five, Empire of Storms. Fans of this series will gain an in-depth view of what makes Chaol tick and drove his decisions in the previous books. Lots of new characters are introduced and information is learned that sets up the final book in this series.
The series is scheduled to conclude in 2018.
