This was a cozy Christmas romance that takes place in a small Hallmark-esque town. Gianna Mancini finds out that her dream of a semester abroad in Italy comes true. That same day the town discovers that the owner of the town’s beloved market building died owing back taxes. When Mr. Bailey and his son James arrive in town to sell the building, Gianna is determined to find a way to thaw the Grinchy heart of Mr. Bailey and save the market building from developers. 

Hatching a plan with James to fake date in an attempt to spread some Christmas cheer to his father, Gianna soon finds that her heart is torn between her fake boyfriend and her best friend Sam.
