SPOILER ALERT! If you haven't read Tantalize, please stop! I don't want to ruin the story for you. It would also be helpful if you have also read Eternal to learn more about Zachary's back story.
Quincie Morris is trying very hard to hold it all together. Bradley, the chef for her family’s vampire-themed restaurant, turned out to be a real vampire. So did her uncle/guardian. Unbeknownst to her, they had already turned Quincie into one of the undead and used the restaurant to create more vampires. With her best friend, the hybrid werewolf Kiernan, off to join a pack Quincie is left alone to deal with being one of the undead and trying to find a cure for all of the Sanguini customers who knowingly consumed Brad’s bad blood.
When Quincie hires Nora as her new chef, things start to look up for both Quincie and her restaurant. It turns out Nora’s previous employer was a vampire and she has brought along reinforcements, namely Zachary, Quincie’s guardian. Can Quincie and Zachary find a way to foil Brad’s plan before Austin is overrun be vampires? Can Quincie’s soul be saved and can Zachary earn back his angel wings? What has happened to Kieran? And what are Brad’s true motives?
Interspersed with Brad Stoker’s Dracula story, Smith wraps up her “trilogy”.
